The client came to me because, although she was quite satisfied with the design of her current labels from a technical perspective, the design wasn’t doing anything to jump off the all-important retail shelves. As the fermented product industry grows, it becomes more and more important to be highly visible to new customers. Given the imperative to use bold colour, I created a template that was easy to implement across various flavours. Minor tweaks to the template allowed a distinct look for the kimchi flavours. The result has loads of personality and presence in the refrigerated section.
